Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care for surgical patients across multiple specialties, including robotics, neuro, ortho, plastics, gynecology, and prostate biopsy.
- Prepare the OR, maintain sterile technique, and assist the surgical team with instrumentation, counts, and equipment setup.
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, manage anesthesia-related tasks under direction, and administer medications per orders.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout pre-op, intra-op, and immediate post-op phases; document care and outcomes accurately.
- Collaborate with surgeons, scrub colleagues, circulators, anesthesia providers, and post-anesthesia care team to optimize flow and patient outcomes.
- Facilitate efficient room turnover and equipment management, ensuring supplies and instrumentation are ready for subsequent cases.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR nursing experience
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- No local candidates within 50 miles; willingness to travel to the assignment location
- Ability to work 8-hour daytime shifts, Monday through Friday
- Experience across diverse OR cases with emphasis on gynecology, plastics, and prostate biopsy
