LDRP Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced LDRP Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care in our obstetric unit, supporting labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum patients.

Shift Details

Shift Type: Nights
Shift Length: 12 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekend Requirements: 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
Holiday Requirements: As needed
Call Requirement: May be placed on call if not needed

Unit Information

Unit Type: L&D/PP/MB
Number of L&D Beds: 15
Number of OR Suites for C-Sections: 2
Number of Triage Beds: 3
Number of Postpartum Beds: 18
Average Births Per Month: 160-200 deliveries
Follow AWHONN Guidelines for Ratios: Yes

Common Diagnoses/Types of Patients

Preeclampsia
Diabetes
No Prenatal Care
Substance Use Disorders

Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 2 years
Certifications:
- ACLS (AHA)
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
- BLS (AHA)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- STABLE Certification

Skills and Responsibilities

Ability to titrate drips, including Pitocin
Charge nurse will assist with triage
Collaboration with surgical techs and CNAs
Monitoring of telemetry strips (telemetry room is available)
Working with OB and NNP on-site; Neonatologist available within 30 minutes

Orientation Details

Duration: 2 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation
Orientation Week: Clinicians must be in-state for a full week of orientation, even if some modules are remote

Additional Information

Scrub Color/Dress Code: Hospital scrubs
Floating Requirements: Potential floating between LDRP and within Zone 3, depending on staffing needs
