A Day in the Life As a Paralegal, you will provide support to the real estate group within the legal department, focusing on acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and development (including data center developments and conversions). You will leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed. You’ll exercise sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes. Key Responsibilities Support all aspects and stages of real estate transactions, including title and survey review, due diligence, document preparation, closing logistics, and post‑closing integration. Must have a deep understanding of title and survey matters and be able to propose creative solutions for resolving potential problems. Lead the preparation, review, editing, and negotiation of legal documentation under supervision, including purchase and sale agreements, amendments, closing documents, access and license agreements, easement documents, declarations, CC&Rs, confidentiality agreements, track use agreements, brokerage and listing agreements, letters of credit, and SNDAs. Contact and negotiate with third parties such as title companies, surveyors, railroad companies, and regulatory bodies as needed. Abstract and summarize material terms of contracts such as declarations, covenants, leases, and other property‑related documents. Develop professional relationships within and outside the company to facilitate information gathering and research goals. Qualifications 10+ years of real estate experience, including transactions, leasing, and development, preferably in a law firm or in‑house legal department. Strong PC skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, DocuSign, Outlook) and ability to learn proprietary systems, AI tools, and databases. Experience supporting and closing acquisitions, dispositions, ground leases, financings, and developments independently. Professionalism, integrity, collegiality, and ability to work on a wide range of legal matters. Superior written and verbal communication skills. Exhibits grace under pressure and thrives in a fast‑paced environment. Independent, proactive, organized, and diligent worker capable of operating with minimal direction. Flexible to respond quickly to shifting demands and opportunities. Ability to work under tight deadlines, balance multiple detailed tasks simultaneously, prioritize appropriately, and delegate to available resources. Strict confidentiality and independent judgment to make sound decisions and know when to elevate issues. Preferred Experience with Salesforce, Doxsera, Smartsheet, Legora, or SimpleLegal. Experience with data center acquisitions, dispositions, and conversions.
