Applied Real World Data Scientist

Role Description

As an Applied Real-World Data Scientist , you will lead the development and execution of research, analytics, and reporting powering Evio Insights, a product within our Digital Health portfolio. Evio Insights uses real-world evidence (RWE) to generate recommendations related to:

• Policy and utilization management
• Prescriber and patient outreach
• Care management
• Contracting to support high-value medication use

You will collaborate with teammates across engineering, data, and client-facing teams to uncover insights from our data that help patients access high-cost medications in a simple and affordable way. Your technical skills, curiosity, and health plan empathy will drive the evolution of Evio Insights to ensure it continues to meet the needs of health plan customers.

You will own the analytic lifecycle from problem to recommendation:

• Translate ambiguous health plan problems into research questions
• Select the appropriate study or modeling approach
• Execute the analysis
• Communicate clear, actionable recommendations

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, real-world evidence, health economics and outcomes research, data science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with machine learning and advanced analytical methods, such as predictive modeling, forecasting, and unsupervised learning/segmentation.
• Experience working with administrative claims data.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one analytical programming language, such as Python or R.
• Experience designing statistical comparisons, analytical plans, and decision-grade analyses for a variety of use cases.
• Skills to design and execute descriptive analytics, outcomes-based analytics, and predictive analytics.
• Experience developing automated, reusable, or production-ready analytical workflows and reporting solutions.
• Ability to communicate technical information to a range of audiences including executives, analysts, actuaries, and clinicians—via written and verbal communication.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently explore data, identify insights, and recommend actionable solutions.

Requirements

• Experience working with healthcare data beyond administrative claims, such as prior authorization, laboratory, electronic health records, or social determinants of health.
• Familiarity with commercially available real-world data analytics platforms.
• Experience using AI to analyze real-world data, automate workflows, or perform quality assurance.
• Familiarity with high-cost and specialty medications and how they are managed by health plans via medical policy, utilization management, and formularies.
