Litigation Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney with 4-8 years of experience to join its litigation practice in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will have experience in general business litigation, eminent domain, and real estate litigation. Duties Represent business and property-owner clients in a range of disputes from pre‑suit strategy through trial. Collaborate with partners and clients on case strategy, discovery, motion practice, negotiation, and trial. Handle complex contract and commercial tort disputes, real property rights, and eminent domain proceedings. Draft pleadings and dispositive motions; manage written discovery and depositions. Work with experts and develop valuation and damages theories. Prepare for and conduct hearings, mediations, and trials. Advise clients on risk mitigation, settlement options, and litigation strategy. Contribute to business development and firm marketing efforts. Requirements Solid foundation in civil procedure and evidence. Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills. Experience with business disputes, eminent domain, and real estate litigation. Experience managing discovery, depositions, and court appearances. Education J.D. from an accredited law school. Certifications Good standing with the North Carolina Bar or eligibility for transfer admission. Skills Collaborative mindset and strong commitment to client service.
