Project Manager – Lead High-Profile Commercial Glass & Metal Projects

Job Overview:

• Company: Architectural Glass & Metal 2.0
• Salary/Pay Rate: $80,000 - $100,000+ per year (plus performance-based bonus and profit sharing)

The Opportunity :

Architectural Glass & Metals is seeking a Senior Project Manager with strong commercial glazing or architectural glass experience to lead complex projects throughout West Michigan.

This role is ideal for an experienced glazing professional who can step into awarded projects, take ownership quickly, and independently coordinate customers, vendors, materials, field teams, schedules, and project financials. AGM manages commercial architectural glass and glazing projects ranging from approximately $200,000 to $5 million, with many projects extending over a year from initial handoff through completion. This role offers the freedom to manage complex builds with the support of a dedicated team.

This is primarily an office-based project management role with periodic site visits based on project needs. Some projects may require more field involvement during active installation periods.

What We're Looking For

• Project management experience within commercial glazing, architectural glass, curtainwall, storefront, or a closely related glass industry is strongly preferred.
• Candidates with project management experience for a glass manufacturer or supplier may also be considered if they have strong knowledge of commercial glass products, ordering, lead times, sizing, and industry terminology.
• Familiarity with commercial construction drawings and specifications.
• Understanding of glass products, glazing systems, curtainwall, storefront, and related materials is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, vendors, and deadlines.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working with general contractors, superintendents, field crews, manufacturers, and suppliers.
• Comfortable visiting active commercial construction sites.
• Ability to work primarily from the Kalamazoo office.
• Willingness to travel locally to project sites as needed, generally around 10%.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the glazing or commercial construction industry.
• Proven ability to independently manage mid-to-large-scale commercial construction projects from submittals through completion.
• Strong technical background in material takeoffs, shop drawing reviews, cost tracking, and vendor negotiations.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% outside a 30-mile radius of the job site as needed.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of commercial architectural glass, metal systems, and specification compliance.
• Demonstrated track record of managing subcontractor relationships, client communications, and monthly billings.
