What You Are Accountable For

• Lead accounting operations and financial reporting for the Colorado Springs amphitheater and future amphitheaters under development, including preparation of weekly and monthly financial reports and analysis of key financial metrics to support business decisions.
• Perform accounting for show settlements and ensure timely and accurate settlement of amphitheater events.
• Manage vendor accounting for Amphitheater Operations and related operating entities.
• Oversee the financial administration of sponsorship and talent contracts, ensuring required documentation and supporting information is accurate, complete, and received timely, and payments are processed accurately and on time.
• Ensure completion of daily, monthly, and annual general accounting functions for Amphitheater Operations.
• Prepare account reconciliations and support timely month-end and year-end close activities.
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations for Amphitheater Operations.
• Serve as the Accounting Team’s primary liaison to the Talent Team, providing financial oversight and support for amphitheater operations.
• Own the accounting and financial oversight of day-to-day amphitheater operations, including show contracts, deposits, settlement workbooks, pre-opening expenses, budget-to-actual tracking, construction and FFE costs.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• 5+ years full accounting cycle experience, preferably with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with intercompany transactions and working with multiple related entities is a plus.
• Experience with financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close processes.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and reviewing contracts, invoices, and supporting documentation.
• Experience with accounting for budget vs. actual costs, construction and FFE costs, show settlements, contract accounting, or accounting within the entertainment, hospitality, events, or venue industries is a plus.
• Experience leading cross-functional department projects and preparation of financial analytics and metrics is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in the rest of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with Oracle NetSuite or another ERP/accounting system is a plus.
• Public company and SEC reporting experience preferred but not required.
• Must be detail-oriented and accurate, with strong communication skills and the ability to proactively manage responsibilities, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal day-to-day supervision in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Reliable and accountable with a high degree of pride in the work delivered.

Team Leadership & Development

Reports directly to the Accounting Manager. This is a key role supporting the Accounting Manager and the Operations team. The successful candidate will develop leadership skills, progress into increasingly senior accounting and finance roles based on performance in the organizational growth.
