Our products are trusted by industry professionals and each brand is the market leader in its respective category in terms of quality, performance and ease of use./ph3Position Summary/h3pThis position is responsible for the setup, operation, and preventative maintenance of Fastener Manufacturing equipment to produce according to quality specifications safely. This is a 2nd shift position. The hours are 9:15pm 10:45 pm, Monday Friday./ph3Primary Responsibilities/h3ulliPerforms setup and operates a variety of in-lined equipment to cold head, point and thread-roll fasteners for commercial construction applications./liliPerform routine and non-routine maintenance on equipment, including preventive maintenance tasks./liliPerforms quality checks in adherence to specifications sheets including first piece approval; will also be responsible for documentation./liliDrives safety practices and procedures including identifying safety hazards./liliAnalyze and troubleshoot production and equipment failures./liliPerform full inspection of all incoming tooling./liliResponsible for monitoring the performance of production equipment and supporting implementation of upgrades and enhancements to equipment and fixtures./liliAssist with the installation of equipment as needed./liliEnsures all housekeeping practices and procedures are met./liliPerforms 6-S activities and improvements as required./liliConducts final inspections of all finished products and signs off on compliance with specifications./liliWorks with and trains other team members and participates in team events and meetings./liliMust be willing and able to work as machine operator running lines./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulh3Job Requirements/h3ulliHigh School Diploma or GED/liliAt least five years of experience in high-volume manufacturing (e.g., equipment setup/operation/changeover, use of measurement tools and knowledge of preventive maintenance)/liliWilling to work assigned shift with some mandatory overtime including weekends/liliAbility to interpret blueprints, schematics and following instructions./liliPrior experience with hand tools (e.g., wrenches)/liliAbility to recognize and identify parts, problems, and offer resolution/liliMust be able to work in a team environment/liliMust have reliable transportation as this job may require travel between Roselle and Itasca facilities/liliAble to communicate effectively both orally and in writing./liliGeneral housekeeping duties/liliAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds/li/ulh3Work Environment:/h3pThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this position, within typical manufacturing working conditions.
