Substitute Teacher - Per Diem Franklin School - Jersey City, NJ Position Overview Franklin School, an innovative coeducational high school in Jersey City, NJ, is seeking Substitute Teachers for the 2026-2027 academic year. The ideal candidate requirements are as follows: At least one year (1) prior teaching experience preferred Bachelor’s Degree (required) Strong Interpersonal skills Experience teaching to a range of learners Special Education experience highly sought after Eagerness to contribute positively to the Franklin community Willingness to engage with and learn from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences Ability to bring joy, kindness, maturity, and flexibility to the school environment Knowledge of Educational/classroom technology(Zoom, Google Classroom, Canvas etc) to assist students Availability to work Monday - Friday 7:30am - 3:00pm Demonstrates a willingness to be a team player, and to participate readily in any other duties, as assigned Compensation Commensurate with experience: $180/day; $90/half-day We are committed to making our recruitment practices barrier-free and as accessible as possible for everyone.
