Prep Team Member - Main Responsibilities

Set up and stock prep stations with all necessary ingredients, tools, and containers
Prepare chicken salad, sides, and ingredients according to company recipes and standards
Accurately portion, label, and date all prepped items
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized prep area at all times
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control guidelines
Monitor product levels and prep ahead to support smooth service operations
Properly store and rotate ingredients using FIFO (First In, First Out)
Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Prep Team Member to support daily kitchen operations through efficient and consistent food preparation. This role focuses on producing high-quality ingredients that ensure the sandwich line and service team can operate quickly and effectively.

The ideal candidate is organized, works with a sense of urgency, and follows recipes exactly to maintain product consistency. Strong teamwork and communication are essential, as this position directly supports overall kitchen performance.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare all menu components (chicken salad, sides, produce, and other ingredients) following standardized recipes
Ensure all items are portioned, labeled, and stored correctly
Maintain strict cleanliness and sanitation standards in all prep areas
Inspect ingredients for freshness and quality before use
Keep prep levels aligned with business volume to avoid shortages or waste
Communicate with managers and team members about inventory needs and prep priorities
Safely operate and maintain kitchen equipment

Requirements

Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred
Ability to follow recipes and procedures with precision
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to multitask and stay productive with minimal supervision
Ability to understand and communicate in English
