Description

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients across all age groups utilizing standardized evaluation methods and clinical observations.
• Formulate tailored therapy plans focused on both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Implement individualized therapy sessions that concentrate on aspects such as language acquisition, fluency, articulation, and swallowing.
• Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing teams, medical practitioners, family members, and caregivers to develop integrated care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to enhance continuity of care beyond therapy sessions.
• Provide support for occasional inpatient assessments and therapeutic interventions, ensuring seamless transitioning in patient care.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation that meets state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Pursue continual professional growth by staying abreast of developments in the field and collaborating with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
