Supervisor Job Description Reports to: Restaurant Manager and Assistant Manager The Supervisor greets and serves guests, prepares products, maintains food safety and sanitation standards, and handles or processes light paperwork. Exceptional guest service is a major component of this position. General Tasks and Responsibilities Training new staff Managing transfers and waste of product Inputting deliveries into the POS and reconciling to ensure accurate system entries Inventory management Bank deposits and change handling Product ordering Processing voids and refunds as needed Handling customer complaints appropriately Acting as Person‑In‑Charge when on shift Performing bi‑weekly cleaning tasks Continuously training the team Fostering a team atmosphere across all shifts Checking temperature logs and action logs Sandwich Artist Responsibilities Exhibit a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting guests and preparing their orders, ensuring excellent customer service Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and explain them to guests accurately Use a point of sale system/cash register to record orders, compute totals, collect payment, and make change Perform Cash‑In procedures, accounting for all forms of money and items Prepare food neatly and promptly, according to formula, while maintaining all local, state, and federal health safety standards Check products in the sandwich unit area and restock items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift at all times Follow proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards during preparation, service, and cleanup Clean and maintain all areas of the restaurant to promote a clean image, applying the Wash, Rinse, and Sanitize method Adhere to all quality standards, formulas, and procedures Maintain a professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined in the employee handbook and uniform policies Additional Duties Perform light paperwork duties such as cash‑in records, daily paperwork, and other assignments as directed Complete University of Subway courses as directed by the Restaurant Manager Qualifications Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction in English. Physical Requirements Must be able to work in any area of the restaurant when needed and operate a computerized point of sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking throughout the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally. #J-18808-Ljbffr
