Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out assigned security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or local authorities as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site requirements, maintaining professional presence, controlling access points, and verifying credentials and/or permissions when required. Monitor for policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or potential hazards, and report security‑related concerns promptly while following post orders and established response procedures. Minimum Requirements Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience. Possess an armed guard card and/or license. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
