Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor EmPATH Psych Observation Nights

Inova Fairfax Hospital is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated RN Unit Supervisor to join our EmPATH Psychiatric Observation Unit on the night shift. This is a full-time position with a 3 x 12-hour shift schedule (7:00 pm to 7:30 am). The Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor serves as a front line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to quality and best practices to improve the clinical operations of the unit. Job Responsibilities: Staffing Patient review and placement Serve as a resource to Charge Nurse and staff Responds to all events on units Assists with orientation Conducts chart and environmental audits per Joint Commission standards Coaching and education of staff Can act as Charge Nurse or take patients if needed Minimum Qualifications: Certification - Basic Life Support; Completion of a revised Charge Nurse workshop within 3 months of hire Licensure - Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia Experience - 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse Education - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or Associate's Degree RN within 1 year of completing their BSN) Preferred Qualifications: Former psychiatric experience strongly preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Inova Health System
