Senior Fullstack Software Engineer

Salary: $160,000 - 190,000 per year Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience building and operating high-traffic, customer-facing systems
• Strong computer science foundations, with deep object-oriented design and relational database modeling skills
• Hands-on fluency with system and cloud concepts, including event-driven patterns, workflow orchestration, distributed systems tradeoffs, caching, async processing, idempotency, and backpressure
• Comfortable working across multiple languages and technology stacks; we use PHP/Magento on the backend and React/Next on the frontend, hosted on AWS
• Working knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, and SQS, plus sound judgment across relational, document, and wide-column data stores
• Proven record of delivering high-impact, customer-facing production features at scale
• Concise communicator who shares options and recommendations at the right level of detail
• Big-picture thinker who reasons effectively about systems and business outcomes
• Member-first mindset, with a consistent focus on the customer, the team, and the business
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as New Relic or Datadog to support SLA, Apdex, and error-rate targets

• Own the end-to-end architecture and ongoing evolution of our pods systems
• Make platform-level decisions on when to use eventing, workflow orchestration, caching, asynchronous pipelines, or new services, and when those patterns are unnecessary
• Design for horizontal scalability and consistently low latency under real-world traffic
• Break apart existing services into scalable components when it creates meaningful value, while avoiding unnecessary decomposition
• Connect engineering choices to measurable outcomes by instrumenting what we build and using data to validate what we ship
• Apply test-driven practices from the start, treating quality, reliability, and observability as core priorities
• Partner with Product and Design by presenting options and a clear recommendation, not a single rigid path
• Strengthen the teams architectural and systems thinking through mentorship, code review, challenge, and guidance
• Own the SLAs for the surfaces our pod supports
