Cath Lab Technologist

Provides technical support and assistance to the physician during diagnostic and invasive cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures. Performs scrub and hemodynamic monitoring duties during cardiac catheterizations and interventional radiology procedures. Uses clinical knowledge, technical skills, and professional judgment in accordance with professional and departmental standards and protocols. Assists in the holding area and provides care assessment prior to, during, and post-procedural care and instruction to patients. Prepares and maintains all pertinent information related to procedures. Equipment utilized includes EPIC. Call may be required based on staffing needs. Some weekends may be required as determined by staffing. Regular staff attend a general orientation training. Regular and supplemental staff complete additional department-specific orientation. This role is part of a new service line.
