Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 Year of Emergency Department Experience Required License: Valid TX License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Required Must-Have: - EPIC Experience Required - Accepts First-Time Travelers - Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend Description: Provide care for all acute emergencies, including trauma, stroke, and STEMIs for patients of all ages. Management of dysrhythmias and central line care/management. Administration of IV vasopressors. Management of BiPAP/CPAP and care of ventilated patients. Understanding of isolation precautions and PPE requirements. Triage and patient assessment are essential responsibilities. Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 175, with around 175 visits per day. Unit has 40 rooms and 48 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretarial staff. Experience with patient diagnoses involving all acute emergencies is valuable.
