Shipping & Receiving AssociateWe are seeking a reliable and experienced Shipping & Receiving Associate for a long-term temporary assignment, starting ASAP and expected to continue through the end of the calendar year, with the possibility of extending into January.This position is responsible for shipping, receiving, inventory, order fulfillment, and general warehouse duties. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable using computer and inventory systems, and able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.Punctuality is extremely important. Employees must arrive and be ready to work by 7AM each day and must have reliable transportation.ResponsibilitiesVerify products pulled for each order using scan technologyPackage orders using appropriate shipping and packaging materials to ensure safe shipmentProcess paperwork in preparation for manifestingWork with team members to unload incoming product shipments and sort products for stockingStock products into designated aisle/bin locationsOperate the shipping manifest systemReview packing lists and shipping/handling instructions to ensure customer requests are completed correctlySeparate manifested packages by freight carrier, including FedEx, UPS, and U.S. MailParticipate in semi-annual inventory by accurately counting assigned accessories and mainframesComplete special order requirements, including kits, batteries, and antenna swapsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe warehousePerform other related duties as assignedQualifications / Requirements1-2 years of warehouse shipping/receiving experience requiredExperience with inventory, barcode scanning, and shipping/manifest systemsFamiliarity with export shipping procedures and requirementsKnowledge of major freight carriers and shipping options, with the ability to make shipping recommendations when requestedStrong computer and data entry skillsAbility to type 30-40 words per minuteAbility to navigate, inquire, and enter information into E1Must be accurate, detail-oriented, and have strong follow-throughMay require a drug screening and criminal backgroundSolid basic math skillsMust have reliable transportation and excellent attendance/punctualityMust be able to arrive and be ready to work by 7AMMust be able to lift 30-50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionallyAbility to stand, lift, and move for extended periodsMust be able to work overtime and weekends as needed, particularly during the last two days of each monthWork EnvironmentThis is a warehouse environment with varying temperatures depending on the climate, as well as exposure to exhaust fumes and noise from shipping trucks and other warehouse equipment.
