ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide temporary maternity leave coverage for a school district in Blountsville, Alabama. This is a great opportunity for an SLP looking for a short-term school-based assignment while making a meaningful impact on students’ communication and academic success.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a school setting, collaborating with educators and families, and providing individualized speech and language services throughout the assignment.

Position Details
Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Blountsville, Alabama
Assignment: Maternity Leave Coverage
Setting: School-Based
Schedule: Full-Time
Duration: Temporary assignment through the end of the leave
Start Date: As soon as possible

What You’ll Do
Provide speech and language therapy to students based on their individual needs and IEP goals
Complete assessments, evaluations, and progress monitoring as needed
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student-centered educational planning
Support students in developing functional communication and academic skills

Qualifications
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Active Alabama SLP license or eligibility for Alabama licensure
ASHA certification/CCC-SLP preferred
School-based experience preferred, but not required
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively with students across a school environment

SLPs transitioning from outpatient, pediatric, medical, or other clinical settings are encouraged to apply!
