Lead Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative

Village Square Portola Valley Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Lead Client Service Representative (CSR) to serve as the welcoming face of our hospital. In this lead role, you will collaborate closely with DVMs and technicians, help coordinate the front desk team and daily patient flow, and serve as a liaison between clients and the medical team. You will create exceptional client experiences, build trust through compassionate service, manage appointments, handle multi-line phones and in-person interactions, process transactions, and support clients with essential information about our services. Ideal candidates are friendly, detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrive in a team-focused customer service environment.

Schedule and compensation:

• Compensation: $23 - $27 per hour, for each hour worked
• This is a full-time position with a 5/8 schedule and availability needed Monday through Friday.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

• Previous veterinary receptionist or healthcare-related front-desk experience is required
• Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Ability to manage a multi-phone line system while assisting in-person clients
  • Experience working with veterinary practice management software
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience scheduling appointments and coordinating calendars preferred
  • Ability to accurately process payments and maintain financial records
  • Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with a team
  • Ability to remain calm, professional and solution-oriented during busy periods

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
