Litigation Legal Assistant

URGENT HIRE: Litigation Legal Assistant | Hybrid | Pittsburgh, PA

A well-established Pittsburgh law firm is seeking a full-time, experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support attorneys through all phases of complex litigation. This role works hands-on with litigation attorneys from case inception through appeals, providing critical support in discovery, motions, trial prep, and courtroom logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support attorneys during all stages of the litigation process, including case filing, motions practice, discovery, hearings, trial prep, trial, and appeals.
* Assist with receipt, processing, review, and production of discovery materials.
* Prepare, organize, and manage documents for depositions; handle exhibits and summarize transcripts.
* Support motions practice by collecting documents, proofreading, organizing exhibits, and preparing filing materials.
* Prepare and submit electronic and hard-copy court filings; create and distribute bound sets.
* Assist with evidentiary hearings and trials: organize exhibits, coordinate logistics, support attorneys in-court, mark documents, handle exhibits, prepare witness materials, and serve as liaison between attorneys and staff.
* Process and index documents including Bates-stamping, redactions, duplication, and de-duplication.
* Maintain organized case files by chronology, subject matter, or numerical system; prepare fact summaries and document lists.
* Create and manage electronic databases; run searches, retrieve files, prepare reports, and extract relevant information.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree required; Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program strongly preferred.
* Minimum 3 years of complex litigation experience in a law firm required.
* Trial experience preferred but not mandatory.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage high-volume litigation files.
* Excellent communication, document management, and technology skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.
* Hybrid role based in Pittsburgh, PA.

Salary commensurate with candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
