Keep reading for the details.Scope of WorkOversee and process company payroll accurately and on schedule, ensuring all employee pay, deductions, reimbursements, and adjustments are completed appropriately while maintaining confidentiality of payroll information.Prepare and process IRA-related entries and other benefit-related accounting adjustments as needed.Oversee maintenance accounting and tracking processes, including billable hour tracking, work order reporting accuracy, credit card reconciliations, and related accounting processes to ensure efficiency and accurate financial reporting.Prepare and post journal entries including prepaid expenses, reclassifications, and other general accounting adjustments to ensure accurate financial reporting.Complete bank account, credit card, balance sheet, and property-level reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner while researching and resolving discrepancies as needed.Assist with maintaining accurate property financials, including owner statement review, variance analysis, and reconciliation processes to support accurate reporting and cash management.Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial data, reconciliations, reporting, and collaboration with leadership and external partners.Support budgeting processes by developing an understanding of company and property financial performance and providing feedback, analysis, and recommendations as appropriate.Assist with CAM reconciliations and related financial reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, and proper reporting.Assist with commission payment processes and develop an understanding of agent accounting.Assist with audits, tax preparation, and external reporting requests by gathering documentation, maintaining retention practices, preparing reports, and communicating with external partners as needed.Be present, engaged, and active in all company events, initiatives, and community involvement opportunities.Maintain and follow established accounting controls, and internal procedures to ensure accuracy, compliance, consistency, and protection of company and client financial information.The Ideal CandidateMinimum of 5 years of experience general ledger accounting.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.Ability to maintain confidentiality, sensitivity, and professionalism.Above-average written and verbal communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Self-disciplined, motivated, and detail-oriented.Maintain proficiency in company software systems and accounting platforms.Experience with AppFolio strongly preferred.
