We are seeking a dynamic and passionate special education teacher to join our team at a middle school. The ideal candidate will be committed to academic excellence and student growth, bring creativity to their instruction, and foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and standards-based instruction
• Develop and implement lesson plans that reflect student needs and curriculum goals
• Establish a classroom culture that promotes learning, respect, and high expectations
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities
• Assess and track student performance; provide feedback and intervention as needed
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and school leadership
• Participate in professional development sessions and school-wide initiatives
• Support school events, field trips, and community-building activities
• Complete administrative responsibilities including attendance, grading, and lesson planning
• Adhere to all school, district, and network policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey CE, CEAS, or Standard teaching certification (or eligibility for certification), Special Education endorsement
• Must pass a criminal history background check
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive salary range: $60,000 - $85,000, commensurate with experience

Performance Evaluation:

Staff are evaluated under the Achieve NJ Teacher Evaluation system, which includes: Teacher Practice Student Achievement Student Growth Percentiles (when applicable) Supervision [For classroom-based roles]: Supervision of students, paraprofessionals, and volunteers
