From the #1 dress pant brand in North America to the #1 belt and wallet, RAA sets the standard for excellence and innovationWe empower our associates, create growth opportunities at every level, and strive to make RAA the best place to build a career.Want to work at a diverse, equitable, & inclusive workspace where associates are encouraged to bring their true, authentic selves?Apply today and fashion your future with RAA.Location: Farmers Branch, TXSchedule: Hybrid (3 days in-office / 2 days remote)Position Overview:As a Senior Database Administrator on the RANDA team, you will contribute to database management of highly complex and large-scale data-driven systems to enable RANDA business while supporting architectural vision of quality, scalability, performance, and functions.Essential Role Functions:Selecting and deploying appropriate AWS database services such as Amazon RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and Redshift with optimal scale and costMonitoring AWS database health using tools like Amazon CloudWatch and Performance InsightsConfigure and test High Available automatic failover mechanisms to reroute traffic seamlessly if a primary node goes offlineMonitor replication lag and data consistency across all nodesManage load balancing to distribute read and write traffic evenly across the clusterMaintain RANDA database systems and improve their performance in conjunction with data development and software engineering teams to ensure smooth database operations across the enterpriseSurgically work on performance monitoring, tuning, identifying, and fixing issues within database realmTake ownership in building highly available database clustersEstablish database systems monitoring dashboards and procedures that will enable 24/7 business operations.
