Job Description

• Establish networks with employers and educators and maintains information on community resources and employment entities (e.g. DOL, VESID, One-Stop).
• Provide evidence-based practice services including Wellness Self-Management (WSM) and Supported Employment (IPS).
• Provide crisis intervention services and recommendations for treatment and referral as needed.
• Conduct vocational and educational assessments and synthesizes information for use in problem solving to assess individual needs.
• Provide individualized services related to skills development and resource acquisition addressing barriers to career development (educational and vocational).
• Facilitate vocational readiness and other rehabilitation-based classes, meetings, groups, and other activities.
• Manage job development, placement and follow-up support in community and complete employment registrations in NYESS.
• Carries a caseload of 10-15 participants receiving ORS services.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counselling or in relevant field preferred – work experience within field may be substituted for degree.
• 1-2 experience working in mental health rehabilitation setting and 1-year experience with supported employment practice or another vocational program.
• Must be fingerprinted and cleared by the Office of Mental Health (OMH).
• Bilingual Spanish-speaking, preferred.
