Job Description
Associate Actuary (The Prudential Insurance Company of America, Newark, NJ):
Lead annual reporting of insurance risk adjusted capital for Individual Annuities and present results to business partners and senior leaders. Play a critical role in the assumption update process and assist in quantifying and understanding impact from each of the changes. Lead the net impact of hedging calibration process and manage communications with partners in CIO. Support development, testing and enhancement of valuation model/process, such as partnering with Modeling team to test model conversion and quantify impact. Participate in quarterly reporting process and ensure reporting is done in a timely manner. Contribute to the production of quarterly and annual stat, tax and capital financial statements.
100% telecommuting permitted. Candidate may reside and work from anywhere in the U.S.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, $158,205.00 per year. Benefits incl. medical, dental, PTO & more.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, and 4 years of related work experience.
Must have 3 years of programming experience in Python and VBA.
Must have 2 years of experience in the following:
• GGY Axis; and
• SQL.
Must have 2.5 years of experience in the following:
• Annuity product reserving; and
• Hands-on experience in Principle Based Reserve and Capital Management.
