Platform Engineer (CI/CD & Kubernetes Focus)

Role Overview Recorded Future is hiring an entry‑level Platform Engineer (CI/CD & Kubernetes Focus) for a full‑time role in Washington, D.C. This role is part of the security hiring team and requires experience in CI/CD, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure. Salary Base salary range: $93 k–$139 k. Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery. Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform. Deploy, manage, and monitor containerized applications using Kubernetes. Support the development and management of production Kubernetes clusters in a cloud environment (AWS preferred). Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure in AWS to support scalable and secure applications. Administer and optimize source code repositories and workflows in GitHub. Collaborate with development teams to enhance developer toolsets and streamline SDLC processes. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues. Implement best practices for security, reliability, and performance. Communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience in a platform engineering or similar role. Proficiency in Golang or Python for scripting and automation. Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code. Proven knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and experience with ArgoCD. Hands‑on experience with GitHub for version control and collaboration. Proven experience with AWS cloud services. Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Good networking knowledge. Preferred Qualifications Experience with GitHub runners and other CI/CD tools and platforms. Familiarity with programming languages such as Go, Python or Java in the context of CI/CD. Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments. Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, ELK and Grafana stacks. Certification in AWS or Kubernetes and experience with Backstage is a plus. Experience with kOps is a plus. Knowledge of Cilium CNI is a plus.
