At Blank Street, we're reimagining the cafe experience, making high-quality coffee and matcha accessible and efficient. As a Shift Lead, you'll play a key role in bringing our mission to life with your team. You'll lead by example on the floor, ensure smooth operations during your shift, and create an environment where both customers and team members feel valued. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced settings, loves connecting with people, motivating their team, and is passionate about great hospitality. Who We're Looking For Love for cafe culture and people Friendly, open and approachable person who is able to work well with others Strong knowledge of coffee and/or matcha Solid multi-tasking skills Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills Passionate about delivering excellent hospitality to create a regular customer base Able to work at a fast pace in high volume environments Be an exemplary ambassador of our brand Desire to foster growth with their team members What You'll Own Craft beautiful coffee and matcha products Provide exceptional hospitality to Blank Street customers Support your GM and help train new employees to succeed at Blank Street, including ensuring that new team members are following all recipe on the menu and operational processes in the store Open and close the the store safely and responsibly ensuring that all checklists are followed Handle and solve customer issues that occur Leads and support initiatives at the store level that increase foot traffic, new customers, daily sales, and operational profitability Requirements 2+ years' experience in a customer service leadership position (e.g. Shift Leader Shift Supervisor, Key Holder), preferably in hospitality, coffee, or beverage 18+ years of age Able to lift 25+ lbs, and to stand for long periods of time Availability that meets the needs of our cafes Full Time: 30-40 hours per week, 4-5 days per week and must be able to work 2 peak days (peak days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Weekend and holiday availability preferred You must be authorized to work in the U.S.: upon acceptance of a job offer and completion of the Form I-9 with acceptable documents, Blank Street will provide the federal government with employees' Form I-9 information to confirm authorization to work in the U.S. (a process known as "E-Verify") Benefits & Perks $19.50/hour plus tips A comprehensive Barista accreditation and training program Tenure based paid time off Commuter benefits Sick time 1.5x pay on select holidays Complimentary coffee and treats on shift Free Blank Street swag #J-18808-Ljbffr
