Process Engineer

Position Overview Shaw Industries is hiring a Process Engineer to support the Finishing Department at Plant 81 in Dalton, GA by coordinating the efforts to increase production and reduce quality and claims. Job Title Process Engineer Essential Duties Manage coater, Offline, Shipping, and compound departments Be sure Finishing runs first quality carpet and at top efficiency Work on projects and assignments as required by the Plant Manager and/or Corporate Management Work with sales and customers on quality problems Work with department heads of the individual department areas Attend quality audits Work with R&D department on new products Attend MTR reviews Monitor POVA data to ensure the department is operating effectively and efficiently Requirements Bachelor’s degree (preferably in an engineering field) Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardizing situations Willingness to work in normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations The employee works near moving mechanical parts and in precarious places Competencies Execute Action Plan Deliver Compelling Communication Demonstrate Good Judgment Build Trusting Relationships Learn Continuously Work Shift 8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM Shaw Industries is an equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities. #J-18808-Ljbffr Shaw Contract EMEA
