Job Details

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
• Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor residents' health status
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
• Monitor and document changes in residents' conditions and communicate updates to physicians and family members
• Manage chronic conditions and provide preventive care interventions
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and changes in resident status
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs to ensure high-quality resident care
• Educate residents and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and care needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and quality care guidelines

Requirements

• Active RN License in Michigan
• Minimum 2 years of recent Long Term Care nursing experience
• Current BLS Certification required
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Experience caring for geriatric and medically complex residents preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage multiple residents in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and nursing documentation systems
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills
