Step into a dynamic, full-time, on-site opportunity providing crucial speech-language pathology services for pediatric students. This position, open to both local and travel professionals, focuses on helping children thrive academically and socially by addressing their unique communication needs. The role is based in a supportive educational environment near Denham Springs, LA and welcomes applicants who are ready to make a difference in young lives.
Key Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
Active state licensure as an SLP, or eligibility to obtain
Experience working with pediatric populations, ideally within a school setting
Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a variety of speech and language disorders
Comfortable collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations to identify student speech and language needs
Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in accordance with IEP goals
Deliver direct therapy and consultative services to students
Document progress and prepare reports for parents, school teams, and other stakeholders
Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise on speech-language strategies
Work closely with teachers and support staff to foster inclusive learning environments
