Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL (Hybrid Schedule)

Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 + discretionary bonus

Key Responsibilities for the Project Accountant:

• Manage job cost accounting activities from project setup through completion, including budgets, cost codes, and contract administration.
• Prepare and maintain monthly work-in-progress (WIP) schedules, earned revenue calculations, and over/under billing analyses.
• Monitor project costs, investigate variances, and reconcile job cost activity to the general ledger.
• Track change orders and ensure contract modifications are accurately reflected in project budgets and reporting.
• Support revenue recognition for long-term projects in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Partner with project managers to analyze profitability, forecast completion costs, and identify project risks.

Qualifications for the Project Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of accounting experience within construction including knowledge of job costing and WIP reporting.
