Systems Engineer Location: Gastonia, NC About the Opportunity Vector Talent Solutions is conducting a confidential search on behalf of an established Managed Services Provider (MSP) seeking an experienced Systems Engineer. Position Overview Our client is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their growing technical team in the Gastonia area. This is a client-facing role supporting multiple business environments, providing exposure to a wide range of technologies and infrastructure projects. Each day offers new challenges and opportunities to solve complex technical issues while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys troubleshooting, takes pride in supporting customers, and can effectively manage multiple priorities. Success in this role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a desire to continuously learn and grow within the Managed Services industry. Responsibilities Provide technical support across multiple client environments Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server and Windows desktop operating systems Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and TCP/IP networking Assist with Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365 migrations Support virtualization platforms including Hyper-V and VMware Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and infrastructure issues Document client environments, configurations, and technical procedures Work directly with clients to resolve technical issues while delivering exceptional customer service Manage multiple priorities across support requests and project work Recommend technology improvements and infrastructure upgrades when appropriate Qualifications Approximately 2 to 4 years of IT infrastructure or systems support experience Experience supporting Windows Server and Windows desktop environments Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and TCP/IP Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Strong documentation skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Willingness to learn new technologies and continuously improve Stable work history demonstrating reliability and dependability Preferred Qualifications Microsoft 365 migration experience Microsoft Exchange experience Hyper-V experience VMware experience Cisco Meraki experience Cisco ASA firewall experience Experience supporting backup and disaster recovery solutions ConnectWise experience Microsoft and/or Cisco certifications What We're Looking For We are seeking a technically driven professional who enjoys solving complex problems while providing outstanding customer service.
