Business Accountant – Full Charge Bookkeeper

Salary: $70,000–$85,000

Overview

Seeking a Business Accountant to support a shared services environment across multiple entities with an approximate 60/40 split of responsibilities. This role is primarily focused on month-end close, tax compliance, and general accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close and general ledger activities
• Support AP, AR, and GL functions (primarily within one entity)
• Oversee sales tax compliance, including review and approval of filings
• Prepare/review quarterly fuel tax filings
• Review quarterly payroll tax filings
• Support payroll-related reporting
• Assist with multi-entity reporting and reconciliations

Preferred Experience

• Manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution or similar industry preferred
• Exposure to sales tax and multi-state compliance
• Cost accounting experience is a plus (not required)
• Strong month-end close and general accounting experience

• Qualifications

• Degree preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple entities
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-system environment
