Job Description:


We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Appian Database Architect to play a crucial role in supporting the development of a grants management system. This role demands an individual with deep expertise in Appian case management software, including its integration capabilities and deployment options. The successful candidate will hold an Appian A-score Certification Level 2 or higher and possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in implementing and administering the Appian software within a FedRAMP-compliant cloud hosting environment.

Key Responsibilities:


Collaborate closely with the Agency Business Owner, Product Owner, IT Federal Project Manager (FPM), and Federal Technical stakeholders to thoroughly comprehend both functional and technical requirements in case management.


Actively participate in major design decisions, working closely with Architects to ensure the project's success.


Work with Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), system owners, customers, and end users to understand their mission, current architecture, security requirements, and deliverables.


Lead or contribute to the end-to-end design, development, and administration of Appian platform projects.


Develop a scalable design that aligns with evolving, enterprise, and future-state needs, while adhering to project release goals.


Design and develop the system architecture to seamlessly integrate with existing infrastructure without compromising security.


Identify and introduce opportunities to build platform-based solutions that address complex challenges.


Demonstrate experience in designing, implementing, and integrating Appian with federal systems, both on-premises and in the cloud.


Ensure that Appian solutions meet all federal standards, including security, section 508 compliance, records management, and DevSecOps principles.

Qualifications:


Master's degree with a minimum of five (5) years of experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Appian.


A minimum of 5 years of experience as a team lead supporting architects and leading teams in the development of solutions using agile/SAFe methodologies, preferably in the federal space.


A combination of Database, data warehouse, and cloud developer/administrator certifications.


Agile/SAFe and other relevant developer certifications or equivalent experience.
