We’re looking for a Clinical Liaison / Business Development Specialist to grow relationships with physicians, hospitals, case managers, social workers, and other healthcare professionals while helping connect appropriate patients with specialized long-term acute care.
This is a great opportunity for a clinically experienced healthcare professional or healthcare business development professional who enjoys being out in the community, building relationships, and making an impact on patient care.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, clinics, and other referral sources.
- Identify appropriate patient referrals and help coordinate the admission process.
- Conduct clinical evaluations when clinically qualified.
- Educate referral sources on services, patient criteria, and available programs.
- Manage referrals from initial identification through assessment and approval.
- Work closely with case management, social work, admissions, and business office teams.
- Build and maintain a strong referral pipeline within the assigned territory.
- Track referrals, assessments, admissions, presentations, and relationship-building activities.
- Identify opportunities to increase awareness and utilization of services.
- Travel extensively throughout the regional market to meet with referral sources.
What We’re Looking For
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred OR
- Active clinical license such as RN, LPN, RT, etc. preferred OR
- 5+ years of related experience in lieu of degree/license.
- At least 1 year of healthcare business development experience OR 1 year of clinical experience .
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Understanding of acute-care hospital operations and patient referral processes.
- Ability to work independently and manage a regional territory.
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
