Surgical Technician

Job Title: Surgical Technician

Duration: 13-week contract with potential to extend

Shift: 3x12s

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Surgical Technology experience required

License: High School diploma or GED equivalent

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA, current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification

Must-Have: Minimum 1 year of strong recent Surgical Technology experience

Description: Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and surgical team members, responsible for handling surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during general surgical procedures. Ensures understanding of the assigned surgical procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgical team. Provides service support related to patient preparation, patient transport, and assisting the surgical care team with specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs. Responds to emergent situations according to established procedures.

Schedule: Call schedule includes once per week and every sixth weekend.
