National Sales Manager Commercial Furniture

We're looking for an experienced and well-connected National Sales Manager to drive the next stage of growth for FUNC across the United States, while also servicing our Canadian market .

This is a high-impact, hands-on sales role for someone who knows the commercial furniture industry, has an established network, and knows how to turn relationships into opportunities. You'll work closely with our Independent Sales Representatives while expanding relationships with dealers, architects, designers, specification firms, and other key industry partners.

Job Description

We're looking for an established sales professional who understands the commercial furniture market and can quickly build momentum in the role.

You'll ideally bring:

• Manage, support, and grow an established network of Independent Sales Representatives across the United States, while supporting business opportunities in Canada.
• Leverage existing relationships with independent rep firms, commercial furniture dealers, architects, designers, and specification firms to generate new business and grow sales.
• Identify new markets, partners, and opportunities to expand FUNC's presence within the commercial furniture industry.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
• Work closely with Independent Sales Representatives to drive market activity, strengthen performance, and identify opportunities for growth.
• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with key dealers, A&D firms, specification partners, and end users.
• Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, competitive activity, and growth opportunities.
• Participate in commercial negotiations, including pricing, contracts, and partnership agreements.
• Deliver engaging product presentations and training sessions for independent representatives, dealers, architects, designers, and customers.
• Partner with Product Development, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Leadership to deliver outstanding customer solutions and provide valuable market insights.
• Represent FUNC at customer meetings, dealer events, trade shows, industry events, and association activities.
• Travel extensively throughout the United States, with additional travel to Canada as required, to meet with customers, support independent representatives, deliver training, and strengthen key relationships.
• Provide regular market feedback, pipeline updates, sales forecasts, and strategic recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of sales or business development experience within commercial furniture, contract furniture, architectural products, specification sales, or a closely related industry.
• Established relationships within the commercial furniture industry, particularly with Independent Rep Groups, commercial furniture dealers, architects, designers, and specification firms .
• Demonstrated success growing territories, channels, markets, or product lines and converting relationships into revenue.
• Experience managing, supporting, and developing Independent Sales Representatives or external sales partners.
• Strong understanding of the dealer and A&D specification process within the commercial furniture industry.
• Proven experience developing and executing sales strategies against revenue targets.
• Strong commercial skills, including pricing, negotiation, forecasting, and pipeline management.
• Confident presenter with experience delivering product presentations and training to representatives, dealers, architects, designers, and customers.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-directed and proactive, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment and take ownership of market development.
• Willing and able to travel extensively throughout the United States and into Canada as required.
• Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience.

Highly regarded: Experience within acoustics, architectural products, ancillary furniture, workplace interiors, or other design-led commercial products.
