Responsibilities Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center – Opening in 2025! When open in early 2025, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health will be the first new full‑service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system will establish a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. This full‑service hospital will include 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a 500‑car garage and a helipad for emergency transport. We are seeking a Lead CT Technologist (Full Time). The ideal candidate will work under the direction of the Manager. The radiology department provides general diagnostic imaging services during the day, evening, mid‑nights, and weekend. The Lead CT Tech is also the point person for transports. The candidate must demonstrate radiation protection and safety for patients, staff, and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines. Maintaining equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition is expected. Performs examinations in a proficient, courteous, and professional manner to favorably promote the services offered at the facility. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalency. Completion of an AMA-sponsored School of Radiologic Technology. 4 years’ experience as a radiology technologist. 3 years of professional experience that demonstrates a progressive leadership background. Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements; effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to perform basic arithmetic and compute rates, ratios, and percentages; interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; solve practical problems and interpret various instructions. Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with regulatory bodies such as The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR) and Title 22 standards and guidelines. Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times. Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public. Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
