As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Rounds in Tomball, TX , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout operational areas, access points, and perimeter locations, with attention to changing site conditions and restricted areas.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to sensitive areas, equipment, and materials.
• Support emergency protocols by assisting with evacuations, perimeter control, and communication during hazardous conditions, operational disruptions, and/or other site-related incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Level III Armed Certification in Texas is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
