Join Pasha Hawaii Holdings, LLC as Vice President, Liner Operations, where you will shape the strategic direction, performance, and future capabilities of the company's container and roll-on/roll-off operations across the Mainland/Hawaii trade. This executive leadership role is responsible for advancing multi-year operational strategies, strengthening network reliability, improving asset utilization, managing operational and financial risk, and building high-performing teams across Liner Operations. You will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Network, Finance, Marine, terminals, and external stakeholders to support safe, scalable, customer-focused, and profitable operations. Lead Liner Operations Strategy, Performance & Growth Drive long-term operational strategy and business plans that support safe, efficient, and reliable containers and Ro/Ro service. Shape Multi-Year Strategy: Develop and execute operational strategies, priorities, business plans, and investment initiatives that support long-term growth and enterprise objectives. Optimize Network Performance: Lead efforts to improve network reliability, vessel utilization, asset productivity, profitability, and overall operational execution. Direct Multi-Site Operations: Provide executive oversight of vessel, terminal, rolling stock, equipment, and related operational activities across the Mainland/Hawaii trade. Advance Operational Governance: Establish performance metrics, reporting frameworks, operating standards, and governance structures that support sound decision-making and accountability. Manage Risk Proactively: Develop policies, standards, and risk mitigation frameworks that promote safe, compliant, and resilient operations across all locations. Drive Financial Discipline, Capital Planning & Asset Strategy Guide complex operational and financial decisions that strengthen long-term performance and asset stewardship. Lead Capital Planning: Provide operational input into multi-year capital planning for fleet, equipment, technology, maintenance and repair, and other strategic investments. Strengthen Asset Utilization: Develop long-term rolling stock and equipment strategies that support lifecycle planning, availability, preventive maintenance, and asset performance. Support Profitability: Partner with Finance and commercial teams to align operational priorities with financial performance, budget discipline, and investment returns. Manage Complex Budgets: Oversee operational budgets, performance targets, investment planning, and financial risk across Liner Operations functions. Use Data to Drive Decisions: Leverage performance reporting, operational metrics, and financial analysis to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and improvement priorities. Build Strong Partnerships, Commercial Alignment & Customer Value Collaborate across the business to support cargo strategy, service quality, and customer success. Partner Across Functions: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Network, Finance, Marine, and terminal partners to shape cargo strategy, vessel utilization plans, and commercial decision-making. Strengthen External Relationships: Oversee relationships with terminals, marine partners, vendors, regulatory agencies, port authorities, and industry associations. Lead Strategic Negotiations: Influence and negotiate executive-level agreements, service partnerships, and operational arrangements that support business goals. Optimize Cargo Planning: Provide executive oversight of customer service and cargo planning functions to improve cargo mix, yield, service reliability, and execution. Represent the Company: Serve as a senior representative for Pasha Hawaii Holdings, LLC on operational, regulatory, and strategic matters with key external stakeholders. Champion Safety, Compliance & Labor Relations Promote safe, compliant, and collaborative operations across the Liner organization. Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strong oversight of safety requirements, accident prevention standards, industry regulations, and environmental practices. Lead Labor Relations Strategy: Maintain a strong working knowledge of ILWU collective bargaining agreements and ensure their appropriate application across Liner Operations. Support Operational Readiness: Strengthen safety systems, compliance processes, training priorities, and risk-management practices across all operating locations. Drive Continuous Improvement: Advance automation, digital tools, operational technology, and process innovation that improve efficiency, safety, and scalability. Develop Senior Leaders & High-Performing Teams Build the leadership capability, organizational structure, and culture needed to support long-term operational success. Lead Through Leaders: Provide direction, coaching, and accountability to senior leaders and management teams across Liner Operations. Strengthen Organizational Capability: Develop workforce plans, succession strategies, organizational design, and leadership development programs aligned with future business needs. Create a Culture of Performance: Foster accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and disciplined execution across all teams. Inspire Operational Excellence: Motivate leaders and employees to deliver high levels of service, safety, customer value, and financial performance. What You Bring You bring deep maritime operations expertise, strategic leadership experience, and the ability to lead complex container and Ro/Ro operations. Bachelor's degree in Maritime Operations, Logistics Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience Master's degree preferred Valid state-issued driver license and acceptable driving record required Transportation Worker Identification Credential required 12+ years of related container shipping industry experience 6+ years of senior management experience with budgetary responsibility In-depth knowledge of transportation container operations, management principles, and best practices Strong understanding of cargo stowage restrictions, hazardous cargo requirements, and vessel stability considerations Experience leading vessel, terminal, rolling stock, equipment, or related marine operations Advanced financial and analytical skills, including experience managing complex budgets and capital investments Thorough knowledge of safety, accident prevention, regulatory compliance, and risk-management practices Strong knowledge of ILWU collective bargaining agreements, port practices, and labor relations management Experience developing multi-year operational plans, investment strategies, and performance frameworks Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Your Strengths You are a strategic, disciplined, and collaborative executive who can balance long-term vision with day-to-day operational accountability.
