About the Position

Job Title: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Surgical Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required, including at least 1 year of Trauma Level I experience License: Must be in hand prior to start date Certifications: BLS and NBSTSAS required Must-Have: - Teaching Client Experience required - Trauma Level I Experience required - Skill sets in Neuro, Ortho Trauma and Totals, Neuro Spine, and Basic Craniotomy and VP shunt required - Experience with Organ Donation, GSW, Thoracotomies, Urology-Cystos and stent Placements, General, GYN, and Laparoscopic cases required - Basic ENT, Robotics, and Plastics preferred - Experience with Dilation & Curettage and Laparoscopic assisted gynecological procedures required - Must have experience in Neuro, Ortho GEN, Plastic, GYN, ENT, GU, and Trauma Description: Teaching hospital experience is required. Experience in Trauma Level I is mandatory. Call and holiday coverage will be required. No block scheduling is available. The candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years experience. Skill sets needed include Neuro and Ortho Trauma, totals, and Neuro Spine procedures. Basic Craniotomy and VP shunt experience is essential. The candidate should be familiar with trauma cases such as Spleen removal, Organ Donation, GSW, and Thoracotomies. Experience in Urology procedures including Cystoscopy and stent placements is necessary. Competence in General, GYN, and Laparoscopic cases is required. Basic ENT skills are preferred. Robotics and Plastics skills are required, preferably with flap and scope experience. Experience in Dilation & Curettage and Laparoscopic assisted gynecological procedures is necessary. Instrument/tray reprocessing skills are required for ortho, ortho/totals, neuro/spine/crani procedures. Candidates must float as required within the healthcare facility.
