COMPENSATION

Base: $250,000–$410,000 (scales by class year)

WHY THIS ROLE

Near-Cravath base salary (scaled $10K below current Cravath by class year), a 1,900-hour bonus threshold instead of the 2,000+ many BigLaw shops require, a second excess-profit bonus that has paid out in two of the past three years, and a firm that covers relocation and Florida Bar costs. On the substance side, this is an established CMBS practice with decades of institutional experience representing some of the largest loan servicers in the country -- a team that has been working with CMBS since the market's early days. The firm holds Chambers USA Band 1 in Real Estate. This is a legitimate way to get to Miami with near-market pay, a manageable billing threshold, and genuinely sophisticated CMBS work on both the performing and non-performing side.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You’ll represent CMBS loan servicers, special servicers, and institutional lenders on loan origination documents, modifications, consents, assumptions, and post-closing work for performing loans, as well as workouts and forbearance agreements for non-performing loans. The role also involves coordinating with rating agencies and trustees on CMBS-specific matters.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience : 3–7 years of transactional real estate finance experience with a focus on CMBS, securitization, or structured finance.

• Florida Bar admission or eligibility for admission.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills for finance agreements, modifications, consents, and workouts.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent communication skills.

Bar Admission : Florida Bar (or eligible for admission).
