Senior Appian Developer – Business Process Automation

Hybrid: Monday–Thursday Onsite | Friday Remote

Our client, a global investment management firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Appian Developer to build and expand its enterprise workflow and business process automation platform.

\n

\n

This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor position. You will develop applications directly in Appian while partnering with business stakeholders across areas such as investment operations, risk, compliance, legal, finance, and tax.

\n

\n

This is not a general RPA, Power Platform, or project-management position. Candidates must have meaningful hands-on Appian development experience.

\n

\n

What You’ll Do

\n

\n
• Design, build, test, and support enterprise applications using Appian
\n
• Develop SAIL interfaces, process models, record types, expression rules, reports, forms, and integrations
\n
• Meet directly with business stakeholders to understand processes and translate them into technical solutions
\n
• Convert manual, spreadsheet-based, and email-driven processes into scalable workflow applications
\n
• Build integrations with enterprise systems and data sources using REST/SOAP APIs
\n
• Develop approval workflows, case-management solutions, notifications, escalations, and SLA monitoring
\n
• Troubleshoot and enhance existing Appian applications
\n
• Establish reusable development patterns and support the continued growth of the Appian environment
\n

Required Experience

\n

\n
• 6+ years of enterprise application or workflow-development experience
\n
• Strong recent, hands-on Appian development experience
\n
• Experience building Appian SAIL interfaces, process models, records, expression rules, and integrations
\n
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions
\n
• Understanding of workflow design, case management, data modeling, application security, and APIs
\n
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
\n
• Ability to work onsite in Midtown Manhattan Monday through Thursday
\n

Strongly Preferred

\n

\n
• Experience within financial services, investment management, asset management, banking, private equity, or capital markets
\n
• Familiarity with workflows involving risk, compliance, legal, tax, finance, investor onboarding, or investment operations
\n
• Appian Senior Developer or Lead Developer certification
\n
• SQL and enterprise integration experience
\n
• Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform, Workato, UiPath, SharePoint, or AI-enabled workflow tools
\n
