Key Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional in a school or educational setting
- Proven background supporting positive behavior in students, particularly in challenging classroom environments
- Ability to collaborate with lead teachers to implement classroom management strategies
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills with children in early elementary grades (K-2)
- Reliability and commitment to routine, with consistent availability from 7:30am to 2:45pm, following the school schedule
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small-group support to students, helping reinforce instructional activities and classroom routines
- Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring behavior intervention plans under the guidance of certified staff
- Support classroom organization and provide redirection proactively to maintain a positive learning space
- Foster a safe and engaging environment while building positive relationships with students and colleagues
- Help with student transitions, classroom activities, and accommodations as needed
