Develops implements and updates policies and procedures for the Joint and Spine Center as required. Educates staff as appropriate. Ensures that the Joint and Spine Center is compliant with regulatory standards of care. Functions as a liaison between the patient and medical staff. Demonstrates clinical expertise and assessment in the management of orthopedic patients. Actively contributes to the mission and success of the Joint and Spine Center through various activities. Assists the Director in providing optimal patient experience for all patients on the unit by reinforcing with staff utilization of evidence-based protocols and safety measures and verifying through rounding. Demonstrates strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and nursing expertise to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. Leads and supports performance improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance efforts, and evidence-based practice implementation. Conducts patient tracers, chart audits, and staff competency assessments to maintain survey readiness and adherence to CMS, TJC, and patient safety standards. Provides coaching, feedback, and real-time problem resolution while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional development. Effectively communicates and collaborates with physicians, patients, staff, and leadership to promote positive outcomes and exceptional customer service. Prioritizes responsibilities, makes independent decisions within scope of practice, and supports departmental and organizational goals through strong leadership and operational oversight. Qualifications Bachelors degree required. Masters in Nursing preferred. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience required. Orthopedic clinical and coordination experience preferred. Current RN license in the State of Florida required. Orthopedic Nurse Certified ONC- preferred or acquired within 2 year of hire (required).
