Medical Lab Technologist
Labcorp
Medical Lab Technologist position at a clinical laboratory facility in Tualatin, Oregon. The role involves performing routine and complex laboratory testing, operating instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality across multiple departments on a casual per diem basis.
Responsibilities
- Assess specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental protocols
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper function
- Document preventive maintenance, quality control, and accurate test results
- Prepare and evaluate new reagents or controls as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in life science or medical technology
- ASCP or AMT certification
- Pass standardized color blindness test
- One year or more clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
