Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Renal Medical/Surgical – Georgia

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend; 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio; average daily census of 48 patients in a 49-bed unit

Highlights:

• Specialized Renal Medical/Surgical unit serving adult to geriatric patient populations
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, lift teams, rapid response teams, and more
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed; no call requirements
• Maximum 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract
• Charge experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of RN experience

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Georgia or Compact state license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; charge experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Full compliance documentation required prior to start date

Clinical Skills:

• Renal failure and pre/post hemodialysis management
• Medical/Surgical and Telemetry experience
• Central line and PICC line management, blood product administration
• Advanced respiratory support (BiPAP/CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula)
• Wound care/wound vac, surgical drain management
• Colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube management
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and PCA pump management
• Chest tube management and isolation precautions

Holiday Expectations:

• If one major holiday falls during assignment: expected to work that holiday
• If two major holidays fall during assignment: expected to work both holidays
• If three major holidays fall during assignment: expected to work two of the three holidays
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day
