Associate Attorney

Schumacher & O’Loughlin, LLC | Gunnison, CO Schumacher & O’Loughlin, LLC is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our client-centered law firm in Gunnison, Colorado. This position offers the opportunity to gain meaningful courtroom experience, work directly with clients, and develop professionally in a collaborative and supportive environment. The Associate Attorney plays an important role in delivering high-quality legal services while contributing to the firm's commitment to exceptional client service and community involvement. Responsibilities Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, mediations, and negotiations. Conduct legal research and analysis to support client matters. Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, correspondence, and other legal documents. Manage assigned caseloads and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements. Communicate effectively with clients regarding case status, legal options, and strategy. Collaborate with attorneys and staff to develop case strategies and achieve client objectives. Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials. Maintain accurate case files, billing records, and documentation. Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and client service. Qualifications Admission to the Colorado Bar or pending admission. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and team-focused. Commitment to providing exceptional client service. Compensation & Benefits Starting compensation of $80,000 to $120,000 annually , depending on experience and billable rate.
