Senior Attorney

Oakland, CA | Hybrid | Full-Time A well-established California law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney to join its Oakland team. This opportunity is designed for an attorney with 8+ years of civil litigation experience who is comfortable managing matters independently, developing case strategy, and working directly with clients. The attorney will handle a variety of civil litigation matters and have the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility while working alongside experienced attorneys in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution Develop case strategy and work directly with clients Draft pleadings, motions, discovery and other legal documents Take and defend depositions Prepare matters for mediation, arbitration and trial Appear in state and federal court as needed Collaborate with partners and other attorneys Manage case deadlines, strategy and client communication Qualifications 8+ years of civil litigation experience Active California Bar membership in good standing Demonstrated ability to independently manage litigation matters Deposition experience required Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills Excellent communication and client-management skills Trial experience preferred Experience handling sophisticated civil litigation matters preferred What the Firm Offers Hybrid work environment Meaningful responsibility and case ownership Direct client interaction Substantive litigation work Collaborative team environment Opportunity for continued professional growth Competitive compensation and benefits If you're an experienced California litigator looking for substantive work, autonomy and flexibility , I'd be interested in speaking with you.
